B1ad3: “The CS2 system is simple”

NAVI head coach Andrey ” B1ad3 ” Gorodenskiy shared his thoughts on what “system” actually means in Counter-Strike 2 during an appearance on the ESL podcast alongside Dan ” apEX ” Madescler and Gabriel ” FaleN ” Toledo, explaining why he believes the concept is often over-complicated.

“CS is not rocket science”

According to B1ad3, Counter-Strike as a game isn’t incredibly complex or unachievable. He rejected the idea of ”brilliant systems” and praised experience over myths about talent.

In his view, most coaches and players aren’t geniuses—they simply have years of experience and a solid understanding of the game. CS, as he put it, “isn’t rocket science,” even if people like to think it is.

What is a system really?

B1ad3 explained that the system is simply a way for five players on a server to understand each other. It’s about patience, hard work, and clearly communicating ideas to keep everyone on the same page.

He even compared the CS system to everyday things:

You can create a system for eating soup, and it will still be a system.

Only after this are other elements important:

mechanical skills, communication, teamwork and synergy.

A coach known for his structure

B1ad3 is widely known for his systematic and structured approach, which helped NAVI dominate in the past. His philosophy focuses on clarity, discipline, and common understanding, rather than complex theories.

As he concluded, creating a system is easy. The real challenge comes when you delve deeper and build what’s inside it.
