Professional Counter-Strike player Kristoffer ” k0nfig ” Aamand shared details about his contracts and income while playing for Astralis and Complexity . He discussed the financial terms and negotiations with the clubs in an interview with Dust2.

Speaking about his time with Astralis, k0nfig noted that in the latter stages of his career, the high income did not compensate for his emotional state and attitude towards the game.

I was earning a very good salary, but it was hard for me to just sit and play. I think my salary back then was around 175,000 rubles a month.

After this, k0nfig decided to directly renegotiate the contract and contacted Complexity CEO Jason Lake, setting a condition before signing the contract.

I said I wouldn’t sign the contract unless it was for 30,000. A couple of days later, they sent me a new contract with that amount.

Ultimately, he signed a contract with Complexity for $30,000 per month, double the initial offer. According to k0nfig, this episode served as a prime example of how important it is for players to understand their market value and carefully consider the terms of professional contracts.
